A razor plane is an excellent tool for precisely trimming down the surfboard's wood stringer without hitting the foam and perfect for getting into tight nose curves.

The greatest advantage of the razor plane is that it uses special interchangeable ice hardened industrial blades that never need sharpening. The plane operates at a 27 degree angle which provides a clean cut in hardwoods, softwoods, and plastics.

Set the adjustable blade depth to cut the stringer flush with the foam.
