Hello, are these dummy fins at a zero cant angle built in to the fin? So in otherwords the inside measureable surface is perfectly 90degrees to the bottom of the fin? Typically the actual futures fins have cant built in to the fin its self (not sure what angle, i think 6.5) so when we say "futures should have 6.5 degrees of cant" are we talking about the boxes tilting 6.5 degrees in the board adding to the existing cant of a futures fin, or the final surfable fin cant should be 6.5 degrees, meaning the box should be square to the flat across the bottom?
6.5 degrees on the front fins is how futures makes their fins as well as the dummy fins... final fin cant after install is up to you, anywhere from 5 - 9 degrees depending on the dynamics you want out of the board. Setting fin cant with a jig is shown in our futures install video.
