QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Is coloring added to hardener, resin or after both mixed?
We recommend adding tint or pigment to the resin first, testing the color on white paper so see what it will actually look like as a thin film (colored resin in the mixing bucket will look much darker), then adding the hardener and mixing thoroughly when your desired color is achieved. The hardener will not change the color value.
Is this what I would use to color a blank once I have shaped it before I glass it?
Mix the pigment with resin and hardener and squeegee it on the blank to color the foam. This is called a "foam stain".
Then glass the board normally.
