Engineered EPS Surfboard Blanks - the SB Series

The "SB Series" of Greenlight's Engineered EPS Surfboard Blanks is designed for modern shortboards with a generous continuous rocker suited for steeper and hollower waves. The SB Series blanks feature a fuller thickness and foil to accommodate board designs with a bit more volume to handle the extra winter wetsuit weight and provide easier paddling to get into waves a bit earlier. Your East Coast winter or surf-trip-to-good-waves board starts with one of these EPS SB Series blanks.

Choose from seven blank lengths from 5'6" to 6'9"

BUILD YOUR BLANK THEN BUILD YOUR BOARD!

Greenlight's flexible manufacturing processes allow you to customize this blank to suit your ideas and style without the traditional long wait of a custom blank...

Stringer Options

Stringerless blanks are standard (carbon fiber reinforcements are recommended with stringerless) and the starting point for building your blank.

High Density Colored Foam Stringers:

High Density (HD) Foam Stringers are the latest stringer technology and offer a more dynamic flex and rebound feel to your board. Similar to Kelly Slater's 'Slater Design / Firewire' boards, the HD foam stringer adds a natural, consistent flex pattern to naturally fit the shape of the wave in a turn, and a powerful spring-like "pop" when releasing the turn. And our HD Foam stringers come in a variety of colors!

Eucalyptus Stringers:

Greenlight Surf Supply was founded on the principle of quality, eco-conscious materials to use in surfboard building. Eucalyptus wood has emerged as the top highly renewable hardwood resource. In addition to it's fast growth eucalyptus is a stronger and more durable than other woods which in turn makes surfboards stronger! We especially like it's unique honey-brown glow under the glass of your board.

Basswood Stringers:

Basswood is the standard wood type that has been used in surfboard construction for decades. It's light and easy to shape with proper wood tools.

Cedar Stringers:

Cedar wood is a popular choice for a darker colored stringer look. Cedar shares similar properties to basswood but provides a really cool look under the glass. Plus, there's nothing like the smell of cedar in your shaping area when building your new board!
